A Maiden's Death
I saw a man upon the heath,
With spite he bore his devilish teeth.
Beyond that sick and haunted grin
I saw his deep sadistic sin.
The wind tore sky from heavens that night,
As lightening sought its final fight.
My feet held still with frozen fear,
My eye wept the last sublime tear.
The silence echoed around the moor,
As he looked down with deranged awe.
A silver flash sliced through the air
It sought my heart and dropped me there.
He lay a dark crimson cloak down
While in my blood I would wallow and drown.
The darkness encroached upon me,
My body is dead but my soul is free.
